Robyn Tessier, the young new owner of a chaotic used bookstore in Ballycove, Ireland, doesn’t really know what she’s doing, but she loves books and hopes that will be enough. Fern arrives in Ballycove with a broken heart and devoid of any creative spark to continue her artistic career.
Faith Hogan has returned to Ballycove for her tenth novel. Like her earlier books, the descriptions are vivid, and the urge to move to Ireland and be surrounded by charming people with lyrical accents is high.
This is an endearing tale shows the importance of friendship and family, but also the caustic nature of a long-held secret. Above all, it allows the reader a chance to escape into a sweet bookshop, and what could be more pleasing than that?

About Faith Hogan
Faith lives in the west of Ireland with her husband, four children and two very fussy cats. She has an Hons Degree in English Literature and Psychology, has worked as a fashion model and in the intellectual disability and mental health sector. In 2014 she was a winner Irish Writers Centre Novel Fair, in 2018 was selected as a Words Ireland winner in the DWAD afternoon and then won the Mayo Business Woman of the Year (Arts) in the Network Ireland Business Woman of the Year Awards a year later.
Her contemporary fiction novels have achieved top ten best seller status across the US, UK, Australia and Canada. My Husbands Wives was a top ten bestseller in Ireland on release.
