Grace Darby has her life designed and decided for her. Michael Alpin has nothing to give to love than his life itself. Whilst Michael offers Grace the escape and adventure her heart craves, Grace in turn offers him his sole reason to be. As their love endures the tests of the First World War, the Irish War of Independence, and the deeply rooted designs of their families, Reunion delivers a romantic triumph in what could also be regarded as an utter tragedy.

About Thomas Anthony Ellis
Thomas Anthony Ellis won the Student of Europe Awards in 2000 for his work in English Literature, and was nominated for Best Novel at the Brit Writers Awards 2011 for ‘Reunion’. Having Graduated in Criminal Psychology from Sheffield University, he currently works as a Police Officer in the West Midlands.
His debut novel, ‘Reunion’, was knitted from the very fabric of Ellis’ upbringing. Having been raised as a Roman Catholic and being a descendant of Irish roots, Ellis found within himself the perfect platform to stage the most perfect of romances. Having to adopt many roles within his life – partner, son, uncle, officer – Ellis is a romantic at heart, and so drives this through Reunion from the opening scene to the very last word. With a deep understanding of the many characteristics of the human animal, Thomas Anthony Ellis was committed to making the characters in ‘Reunion’ as relative and as real as possible. Each character is not without flaw, and yet each of them dreams of being defined by a true romance. As does the author himself. ‘Reunion’ is his declaration of this.
