It is not the goal of the present volume to promote Galago as an animal model, but to alert investigators to the potential thereof. In this respect, this collection of papers serves as a general introduction. The subjects covered are purposefully broad so as to illustrate that Galago not only has been, but may be, utilized with success in a variety of research areas. Most papers deal with the pros and cons of utilizing Galago in a specific line of research and in many instances discuss potential problems which may arise.
