An Introduction to High Temperature Plasma Physics Synopsis

This book is derived from contributions to the long running Culham Plasma Physics Summer School. The purpose is to give students new to high temperature plasma physics a comprehensive understanding of the basic theory, assuming the minimum of prior knowledge. Additionally it provides a thorough introduction to the two key fields of application: fusion (which subdivides into magnetic confinement and laser-driven approaches) and space physics. Each aspect is covered in a chapter by a world class expert (or small group thereof) on that topic.
