The world in which Feyre finds herself is a biting fusion of folk and fairy tale, the author takes your imagination on a breathtaking and on occasion chillingly wild ride. This has an otherworldly hint of a ‘Twilight’ series feel to it, however the romance has a decided edge and the ferocity of the violence is more explicit and therefore suited to an older reader.
