Today, 22nd February, the shortlist of the 2023 IPG Independent Publishing Awards have been announced. Celebrating all aspect of publishing, the Independent Publishing Awards this year feature 65 nominations from 40 different companies. That makes this year their biggest awards yet by quite a margin, with six companies being selected for the Alison Morrison Diversity and Inclusivity Award "a reflection of the achievements of IPG members in diversity and inclusivity in 2022". This year's shortlist announcement also sees 12 members and 4 individuals make the shortlists for the first time.
This year's judges have said that they were overwhelmed by the quality and variety of the submissions for this year's awards and are looking forward celebrating at the 2023 Independent Publishing Awards Lunch at the OXO Tower in London from 12pm on Wednesday 22 March. They have also commended the standard of entries in the Nick Robinson Newcomer Award, demonstrating the "remarkable diversity and entrepreneurialism in independent publishing."
