Description of Research
Yu-Pin Lin is interested in numerical simulations such as the finite-difference method, normal-mode summation, and WKBJ method and also imaging the seismic structures in the Earth's interior. For the isotropy tomography, he used the observed ground-truth first-arrival times to invert for the 3D structures of the shallow crust by a wavelet-based iterative multi-scale tomography inversion.
