Yang Liu obtained his B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from South China University of Technology (SCUT), Guangzhou, China, in 2012 and 2017, respectively. He is an associate professor in the School of Electric Power Engineering, SCUT. His research interests include the areas of power system stability analysis and control, control of wind power generation systems, simulation of large-scale power systems. He has authored and co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed journal papers. He is a member of IEEE and Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE), he is one of the 25 scholars who was sponsored by the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by CSEE in 2018 in China, he is one of the 16 scholars, in the field of electrical engineering, who received the Special Sponsorship Project granted by China Postdoctoral Science Foundation in 2019 in China, and he received the annual 100 Doctor and Postdoctoral Innovation Award in Guangdong Province, China, in 2019.
