Books By Xiande Xie, Ming Chen - Author

Professor Xiande Xie has been engaging in the study of mineralogy of borates and sulfates, mineralogy of mantle rocks, mineralogy of many Chinese meteorites, such as H-group chondrites Anlong, Jilin, and Yanzhuang, L-group chondrites Renxiu, Sixiangkou, and Suizhou, and E-group chondrite Qingzhen, and shock metamorphism and phase transformation of minerals in heavily shocked chondrites, especially the high-pressure mineralogy of the melt veins in naturally shocked chondrites.

His publications include more than 160 scientific papers and 8 monographs. He is the winner of two China National Natural Science Awards, and 12 Awards for Advancement of Science and Technology given by Chinese Academy of Sciences or related Provincial Governments. The book entitled "Mineralogical Approaches to Geological Inverstigations" written by Edward C. T. Chao and Xiande Xie was awarded the Branch Best Paper of Geological Division, US Geological Survey, in 1990.
