Helene Pristed Nielsen is Associate Professor at FREIA, Center for Gender Research at the Department of Culture and Global Studies at Aalborg University in Denmark, and she was together with Stine Thidemann Faber project coordinator for the Global Periphery-project (2011-2014) which focuses on gender and diversity and how globalization is affecting place practices and place attachment at the social level.
