The Author: Remmon E. Barbaza, born in San Pablo City, Philippines, 1964, is Assistant Professor at the Ateneo de Manila University. He holds an A.B. in linguistics from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, 1988, and an M.A. in philosophy from the Ateneo de Manila University, 1994. He received his doctorate in philosophy from the Hochschule fuer Philosophie in Munich, Germany, 2002, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gerd Haeffner, S.J.
