Rafis Abazov is an adjunct professor at the Harriman Institute, Olumbia University. He graduated from the Kyrgyz National University, Kyrgyzstan. His research focuses on the history and politics of Central Asia and his publications include Historical Dictionary of Kyrgyzstan and Historical Dictionary of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
