Paul Herzberg is an award-winning writer and actor. He started acting at South Africa's first multi-racial theatre, The Space, before completing a post-graduate diploma at LAMDA, UK. His play, The Dead Wait, was produced at the Market Theatre, Royal Exchange and Park Theatre and was adapted for BBC Radio 4, ABC Australia, and WDR Germany. The play was shortlisted for The Verity Bargate Award and nominated for 3 Manchester Evening News Awards: best play, production and actor - in which category it won. In 2000 Paul was one of two writers commissioned for The Metropolis Kabarett at The National Theatre. His commissioned monologue for Elysium on You Tube, The Moth, was selected for 26 international film festivals, won the Olwyn Wymark Award and best monologue at The Kwanzaa Film Festival, New York. His acting credits include: Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire at the Mermaid; Gerry Evans in the world premiere of Dancing At Lughnasa at the Abbey; and
