Dr. Osman Abdullatif is a university professor with more than 30 years of experience in academia, research, and consultancy at the University of Khartoum, Sudan and KFUPM, Saudi Arabia. He received his B.Sc. degree from Khartoum, M.Sc. University of London and Ph.D. Degree from Khartoum University. The teaching and research areas of interest include Geology, Sedimentology, Stratigraphy Basin Analysis, Clastic Depositional System, Petroleum Geology, Paleozoic, Mesozoic Cenozoic Sandstones, and carbonates in Saudi Arabia. These involved looking at facies, paleoenvironment, and depositional models. I conducted many internally and externally sponsored funded projects. Executed consultancy contracts for many companies, including Greater Nile Petroleum, Talisman Energy, Ministry of Energy and Mining Sudan, RI-Saudi Aramco, Luksar, and Sinogas, and Engineering Technical Services, Dammam (ETS).
