Dr. Lalit Thakur is a faculty member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, India. He has obtained his M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.) Roorkee, India. For the last 13 years, he is continuously exploring new possibilities in the field of Welding Engineering and Thermal Spray Technology. His current research areas are thermal spray coatings and TIG weld claddings for wear, corrosion, bio-medical applications, ferromagnetic lubricants, advanced composite development by powder metallurgy, stir casting, and friction stir processing. He has authored more than 60 research articles in various International Journals (SCI/Scopus), Conferences, and Edited Books of reputed publishers such as Applied Surface Science, Surface and Coatings Technology, Surface Engineering, Surface Topography, Tribology Transactions, Wear, JMEP, JMST, Materials Today Communications, Engineering Failure Analysis, Materials Research Expres
