Laishram Ladusingh, Ph.D. (Population Studies), is Officiating Director of the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai, and also, Professor and Head of Department of Mathematical Demography and Statistics at the same Institute. Earlier, he has been Associate Professor and Head, Department of Statistics, Manipur University and Assistant Director, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Government of Manipur. With the teaching experience of more than three decades and practical experience of designing, implementation and management of large-scale demographic and health surveys, Dr. Ladusingh has also served as a key person for carrying out three rounds of DLHS commissioned by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. He designed and imparted training for conducting Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) for Myanmar as Consultant to UNICEF.
