He is Adjunct Professor of Shijiazhuang Railway University, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, and Henan University of Science and Technology. He has run numerous national projects in China, and collaborated internationally. He is one of the founders of the shield industry in the country. He was awarded first prize from the National Science and Technology Progress Awards for his work in the area, and is a leader in the field.
