Kirsten Malmkjær is Chair of Translation Studies in the School of Modern Languages at the University of Leicester. She is General Editor of the journal, Target: International Journal of Translation Studies (John Benjamins), and the author of Linguistics and the Language of Translation (EUP 2005). She is co-editor with Gillian Brown, Alastair Pollitt and John N. Williams of Language Understanding (OUP 1994), and with John Williams of Context in Language Learning and Language Understanding (OUP 1998). She is editor of The Linguistics Encyclopaedia (third edition, Routledge, 2010). Kevin Windle is Reader in Translation Studies, Australian National University. His teaching and research interests include modern Russian and Polish literature, Slavonic lexicography, and translation studies.
