Jean-Charles Falardeau (1914-1989) was chairman of the department of sociology in the Faculté des Sciences Sociales, Université Laval, and joint editor of the quarterly Recherches sociographiques; he published and lectured widely on topics relating to social life and artistic activities of Quebec and of Canada as a whole.
