Prof. Huapu Lu received his B.E. from Department of Civil Engineering, Dalian University of Technology in 1982, and Master's and Ph.D. degree of Traffic Engineering from Department of Civil Engineering, Nagoya University, Japan in 1989 and 1993, respectively. He has been serving as Director of Institute of Transportation Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China since 2001.
Prof. Lu's research areas include: Urban Comprehensive Traffic Planning, Urban Rail Traffic Planning, Public Transportation System Planning, Road Network Planning, Road Traffic Management Planning, Planning Design and Software Development of Intelligent Transportation System, Research and Planning of Integrated Transportation Hub and Logistics System, Research on Sustainable Transportation System of Metropolis and Traffic Impact Analyses.
