Friedemann Hahn painter and poet, born on May 24, 1949 near the Swiss border in Singen am Hohentwiel, grew up in Hinterzarten in the Black Forest and went to school there. In addition to his artistic work, he has taught at various universities since 1981; he has repeatedly worked in Hinterzarten, Freiburg im Breisgau and Florence. 1991 Appointment as Professor of Painting at what is now the Kunsthochschule Mainz at Johannes Gutenberg University, where he taught a painting class until 2014.
