Dr Francesca Doddato is a teaching assistant at Lancaster University, UK. She undertook both her undergraduate physics degree and PhD in theoretical cosmology (received in 2008) at Lancaster University, with a year in between spent at Durham University. Since then, she has continued on in the department as a teaching assistant and mentor.

Dr Doddato is a champion for EDI matters, having sat on both the IOP's Membership and Diversity and Inclusion Committees, and as the creator of the Institute's new Inclusion and Diversity Advocate position on its committees. She is driven by her own experiences as a disabled woman in physics who is of British, Italian and Polish heritage.
