He was responsible for a number of research projects on ensuring the functioning of modern navigation systems in civil aviation aircraft and air traffic control.      Ruslan Nikolaevich Akinshin is Doctor of technical sciences, Professor, Researcher at the Defense Problems Section of the Ministry of Defense (at the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences), Professor of the Autonomous Information and Control Systems Department of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University (National Research University) and Professor of the High-Tech Enterprises Management Department of Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University).
