Christian Eichler is a German sports journalist who specializes on soccer. After completing his studies he began working as a freelance journalist, which eventually became his profession, writing articles for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), Süddeutsche Zeitung, and Welt am Sonntag. He lives near the town of Lübeck on the Baltic coast.
