Anna Marie Roos earned her PhD from the University of Colorado. She has taught at Salisbury University (USA), the University of Minnesota, and the University of Oxford.  She is currently Professor of the History of Science and Medicine at the University of Lincoln (UK). Roos has been a visiting fellow at All Souls College, Oxford; a Fellow at the Huntington Library; a John Rylands Fellow at the University of Manchester; and Beinecke Fellow at Yale.  Roos was the recipient of the John C. Thackray Medal for her work in the history of natural history, and in 2023, she will deliver the Gideon de Laune Medal Lecture at the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London. She is a fellow of the Linnean Society of London and the Society of Antiquaries of London. Roos is the Editor-in-Chief of Notes and Records: the Royal Society Journal of the History of Science.
