Allen Jones has pursued a long and successful career as an artist, first as a prize-winner in the ground-breaking Young Contemporaries exhibition in 1961 soon after leaving the Royal College of Art, and followed quickly by the Prix des Jeunes Artistes at the Paris Biennale in 1963. He is a senior member of the Royal Academy of Art.  
Philippe Garner has enjoyed a long career as an auction specialist. He joined Sotheby's in 1970 and has worked for Christie's since 2004. He has written extensively on his specialist fields of 20th century decorative arts and design and the history of photography.
