His previous novels include the bestselling Nature Girl, Star Island, Bad Monkey and Razor Girl, and three bestselling children's books, Hoot, Flush and Scat. They have been translated into 34 languages, 33 more than he can read or write. Carl Hiaasen also writes an award-winning weekly column for The Miami Herald.
