Win the Women's Prize for Non-Fiction Longlist

The Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction has just announced its 2025 longlist and what a brilliant, page-turning list of books it is! This relatively new Prize, which is just entering its second year and sponsored by Findmypast, is awarded for excellence and originality in non-fiction. Running as a ‘sister’ prize to the globally successful and popular Women's Prize for Fiction, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, the 2025 Non-fiction longlist is rich and diverse. Here readers can find agenda-setting books about contemporary issues, from climate change to the care system, alongside histories and biographies that look at the past through a different lens; insightful memoirs and intimate narratives that shine a light on ordinary people are also combined with real-life criminal cases, both notorious and forgotten. A handful of the books genuinely defy genre-classification, weaving multiple subjects into one compelling read.
