Through a Jewish lens, and by removing the Roman addition of words and events to the Birth Narratives from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, Jesus' Birth Narratives are written ambiguously enough to be interpreted as a virgin birth by Rome, but interpreted as a natural birth by the early church, which was primarily Jewish.
It's possible the Birth Narratives are written with intentional ambiguity in order to delude Rome into believing Jesus was virgin birthed, so this biological son of David on his father's side, through King Solomon, would appear to be a non-threat to the Roman emperors, paving the way for Rome to acknowledge the Davidic throne as supreme.
All the while, those same Birth Narratives, under closer scrutiny by future Jewish authorities, and read in context of Jewish Law, could be interpreted to be describing Jesus as the biological son of Joseph, which was the type of relationship to King David and to King Solomon which the Jews were looking for in a messiah. So, which interpretation is correct? Is there a solution to this uncrackable messianic code?
This book contains over twenty years of never-seen-before research, and you can read in one afternoon how the early church, itself, described Jesus as Joseph's "natural" son. Check out the free "sample" pages!ISBN: | 9798649541497 |
