Beneath the Rug Synopsis

If Singapore was a big rug, what would you find if you peered underneath? We looked, and we found people. People with stories. Stories filled with complexities. Beneath the Rug brings together 30 illuminating stories from people in Singapore' s unseen social impact sector. From social workers to counsellors, special education teachers, persons with disability, social entrepreneurs, policymakers - these are people with real lived experience of the other face of sunny Singapore. The stories are by turns inspiring, discomfiting and thought-provoking. Taken together, they nudge us towards greater understanding, deeper reflection, and more meaningful engagement with our communities.
