The annual FAO survey of world pulp and paper capacities is based on figures received from correspondents in many countries. The coverage and content of the survey included: Country tables for capacity by grade; Grade tables for capacity by country; Definition of grades; List of persons contacted; Country tables for production by grade. The survey presents only the results for countries that submitted answers to the questionaires. Answers received represented more than 70 per cent of the world production of paper and paperboard.
