As a young civil engineer Dick Olver's initial response to being offered a job at BP was to turn it down. Luckily he didn't. As this compelling autobiography recounts, thirty years later Dick had risen to be the multinational gas and oil company's Deputy CEO. Along the way he crossed many bridges - some over very troubled waters. His next appointment was no less challenging.
