Afraid of life and the world, She finds refuge in hiding from life’s stressful events by upping sticks, leaving London and moving to a small village that proves to hold more than just a respite from her recent past, but slowly become home.

Miles Rattenbury, caught Tess’s eye for all the wrong reasons. Rude, aloof, all hard muscle and emotionally impenetrable, he was precisely the sort of man that played around. Exactly the type that Tess currently despised. Thrown together due to the close proximity of village life. Tess and Ratty tentatively walk the tightrope of forming a friendship, but is that all they both really want?

About Sue Moorcroft
Sue Moorcroft is a working writer. She writes novels, short stories, serials, articles, courses and "how to" books. (Yes - she works jolly hard.) Her novels are Starting Over and All That Mullarkey (Choc Lit) and Uphill All the Way (Transita) in paperback. As a long-serving committee member of the Romantic Novelists' Association, Sue is the editor of Loves Me, Loves Me Not, a short-story anthology published to celebrate the association's 50th Anniversary.
Sue was born in Germany, part of an army family. Her childhood included living in Cyprus and Malta, as well as the UK. She has worked in a bank, as a bookkeeper (probably a mistake), for Motor Cycle News and for a typesetter but is pleased to be able to leave all those 'proper jobs' behind.
Sue Moorcroft is the Winner of the Festival of Romance - Best Romantic Read 2011 for Love & Freedom.
