For those missing Morse, there's a new DI in Oxford in the form of Hillary Greene, a strong female lead with a no-nonsense, tough talking attitude. She's got a great supporting cast in her colleagues, and there's plenty of intrigue in the background as her dodgy husband's dealings continue to haunt her. Margaret Moore brings Oxford to life beautifully while exposing the darker side of human nature for Greene's investigations. A good police procedural with interesting characters and plots.
Under internal investigation for corruption – thanks to her late husband - Oxfordshire DI Hillary Greene is fighting to save her career. When a body is found in the canal, she knows she's only been given the case as it's a straightforward matter of accidental death. Something to keep her quiet…
But when her investigation throws up more sinister elements, she realises this is much bigger than anyone expected. An she’s not about to let anyone stop her from going after the killer…
