"This fabulous Christmas murder mystery makes the most of the festive season as it revels in the chaos of VIPs being targeted one by one at an exclusive shopping event.
"
Another hugely entertaining and devilishly difficult murder mystery to solve, from author Andreina Cordani. I adored her first outing, The Twelve Days of Murder which I can also highly recommend. Here she continues with the locked-room theme as VIP shoppers find themselves unable to leave an exclusive Christmas gift store. The sense of place and time is vividly brought to life. The emporium thoroughly enjoys itself as a main character, with its deeply dark and magical Christmas edge creating a delicious uncertainty. Past secrets come out to play as each of the characters steps into the spotlight. The characters are just fabulous, the likability factor often strays or is completely missing, which ensures a higher level of anticipation. I found myself reading on two levels, with part of me ferociously trying to work out who was responsible, while the other part just delighted in the story. Not only have I chosen this as a Liz Pick of the Month, but it’s also joining our LoveReading Star Book collection. Oh-so satisfying, Murder at the Christmas Emporium runs amok through the twists and turns of murder during the festive season.
The brand new Christmas murder mystery from the author of The Twelve Days of Murder. Perfect for fans of Agatha Christie, Alexandra Benedict and Janice Hallett's The Christmas Appeal.
Christmas shopping can be murder.
It's Christmas Eve at the Emporium, a bespoke gift shop hidden in the depths of London's winding streets, where a select few shoppers are browsing its handcrafted delights.
But when they go to leave, they find the doors are locked and it isn't long before they realise this is no innocent mix-up. The shoppers have been trapped here by someone who knows their darkest secrets, who will stop at nothing until they have all been unwrapped - and there is a gruesome gift waiting in Santa's grotto . . .
For those that survive the night, it will be a Christmas to remember.
