Kate, a young Irishwoman whose fortunes have seen her travel from maid to closest confidant of Mademoiselle Lenormand, the infamous Tarot Reader of Versailles, sees the Queen of France's cards and knows what's in store for her. As the French Revolution is consumed by frenzied violence, Kate must use all her wiles to ensure that Marie Antoinette's fate doesn't become her own nor that of her mentor. But what turn of the Wheel of Fortune led a revolutionary Irishwoman to become entangled in French royalist plots? And what forces - supernatural or otherwise - can help her protect an innocent child from a cruel and unjust fate?
