A violent man and a Vietnam Vet, Quarry is an unstoppable killing machine and the fun is not to take the mayhem too seriously. Like Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer, the adventures of which Collins has continued writing as heir to the bloody Spillane tradition, this is a form of cartoon violence set against a small-town America background and just great entertainment. For Jack Reacher fans who want more fisticuffs and gunfights.
