The ninth, The Scarecrow of Oz, was published in 1915 and brought Cap'n Bill and Trot to the Land of Oz (the pair had previously appeared in The Sea Fairies and Sky Island), where they joined Button-Bright on an adventure in Jinxland. This volume of Original Oz Stories is formatted not only for ease of reading, but to emulate the textual structure of that original publication.
