About

Evening Walk - A Romantic Poem for Nature Lovers Synopsis

First published in 1793, "e;An Evening Walk - A Romantic Poem for Nature Lovers"e; is a poem by English Romantic poet William Wordsworth. Composed whilst he was at school, the young lady to whom it was addressed was his sister, the poet and diarist Dorothy Wordsworth. A wonderful example of English Romantic poetry, "e;An Evening Walk"e; is not to be missed by fans and collectors of Wordsworth's work. William Wordsworth (1770-1850) was an English poet famous for helping to usher in the Romantic Age in English literature with the publication of "e;Lyrical Ballads"e; (1798), which he co-wrote with Samuel Taylor Coleridge. His best known work is perhaps "e;The Prelude"e;, a semi-autobiographical poem from his early years which was changed and expanded many times throughout his life. Wordsworth was poet laureate of Britain between 1843 until his death in 1850. Other notable works by this author include: "e;The Tables Turned"e;, "e;The Thorn"e;, and "e;Lines Composed A Few Miles above Tintern Abbey"e;. Contents include: "e;An Evening Walk - Notes By William Knight"e; and "e;An Evening Walk - Addressed To A Young Lady"e;. Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. We are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition complete with introductory notes from "e;The Poetical Works of William Wordsworth"e; by William Knight.
