This classic children’s book looks wonderful in its new edition and has lost none of its effectiveness as a book to lull children to sleep. As he snuggles down in bed, a little rabbit quietly and methodically says goodnight to all the familiar objects in his room, to his comb and his brush, to the quiet old lady whispering ‘hush’, and finally to the stars and the air, ‘goodnight noises everywhere’. The poetry of the words demands to be read in a hushed singsong, and the equally quiet and gentle illustrations make this a perfect bedtime book. This edition also features some very helpful tips on helping children to fall asleep from an expert sleep consultant. ~ Andrea Reece

This edition of Goodnight Moon includes top tips on how to get your child to fall asleep from sleep consultant, Hannah Love;
• Reading should be the last thing you do before sleep. It is best for the child to be fully ready for bed, with teeth brushed, before snuggling down with Goodnight Moon to get them fully settled.
• Books can be one of the best aids to a relaxing bedtime. Using the same book can be a good idea as children love repetition. The words should indicate that it is sleep time – this will help your child anticipate sleep approaching, which makes it seem less daunting.
• Bedtime should be a soothing time for everyone. Children are amazing at picking up on your body language and tone of voice, so try to breathe deeply and talk softly – show that you’re calm and they will find it much easier to unwind.
