It is an eerie howling in the night that only she can hear. As always, tragedy soon follows. This time, Letty Wolf will obey the teachings of her Kiowa heritage and bring back to New York her three estranged daughters...before it is too late. Raised in fancy Eastern boarding schools, Letty's daughter Meredith is determined to return to Texas. Once there she is caught up in a whirlwind of mayhem. The only calm in the storm is Trace Stringer, who tracked Meredith down with a summons from her mother. In Trace's arms Meredith begins to believe love might be possible, even for her.
