The second volume in a fantastical series that began with DOWN STATION, this instalment follows the survivors of the London apocalypse who managed to escape through a service tunnel in the Tube into another world, Down, where the passage turns out to be one way only but the environment is also reminiscent of London in a skewed sort of way, although full of monsters. They are now in possession of a map that could lead them to the White City where the mysteries of Down might be revealed and a way home could be presented to them. Betrayals and struggle accompany them on their quest, although they are all too aware that when they do reach their destination they might get more than what they bargained for. Morden's debut series set in the Metrozone was an innovative cyberpunk menu of wild imagination and violence, and this new series takes him into fantasy realms but still dripping with realism and grittiness.
