"A read-in-one-sitting dollop of romantic escapism at its finest."
Clementine Monroe is in a bit of a pickle. Things haven't quite been going to plan for her lately. Her job, her home, her relationship have all come crashing down, thankfully her sisters are there, champagne bottles in hand to help her pick up the pieces. And pick up the pieces they do. Unleashing a decades-dormant break up spell to get Clemmie's life back on track, it works better than any of them could have expected.
Gee, Laura Wood, you absolutely nailed it. This is a humdinger of a holiday read, or a perfect pick me up. I wanted to be part of their sacred sisterhood, their unconventional family, one of their trio of crazy ass sisters looking out for each other. With the same father the ageing rocker Ripp Harris, and three different mothers, they came together in spite of him, grew up together in one big happy family. Minus Ripp. Something Clemmie has never forgiven him for, and she's desperate to stay away from anything to do with him or the music business. The industry that took him from her. That's until she meets one of the most famous musicians on the planet. And and of course Clemmie has no idea who he is.
I fell hook line and sinker for Theo Elliott. Loving him. Lusting after him. Firmly in Clemmie's corner. Willing them to get together. Desperate to see how it all ended, I could not put this book down. Reading into the early hours, I did not want it to end.
It's romantic. Wonderfully romantic. Funny. Damn funny. With lashings of music and sprinklings of magic, Laura Wood, I'm under your spell.
