Around the Tents of Torah Synopsis

From my early childhood, I was fortunate in being directly connected with the "Tents of Torah". The house where I was brought up in Mir was not far from the famous Mirer Yeshiva. The lyrical sounds, songs and tunes which the Yeshiva Bachurim sang while they meditated and grappled with Talmudical problems, penetrated into the precincts of our house. At the age of thirteen I was already accepted into the above Yeshiva. I was already able to understand a "Blat-Gemorah", without the help of a Talmud teacher. In time I obtained my smicha from the late Gaon Eliezer-Yehudah Finkel, of blessed memory, the Dean of the Mirer Yeshivah. In this book I do not propose to delve to the great depths of our Torah; what I merely desire to do is to focus light on some aspect or other of the area "Around the Tents of the Torah".
