As an Irishman I have been inspired by the many talented poets from my country. The poems in this book are the result of my experiences in a rich and varied life and the fascination I have had with the history and life of my countrymen and countrywomen. The poems reflect the fact that I have explored many aspects of religion and philosophy in my life and I have come to the conclusion that for me the most important consideration is living a life with compassion and love for others.
