Church Dreams Synopsis

Distinguished biblical scholar Norbert Lohfink 'surrenders himself to dreams about how the church really ought to be'. These dreams are based in deep scholarship and solid convictions drawn from both the Old and New Testaments: about God's original intentions for Israel and for all those who will be a part of the people of God, about Jesus' renewal of God's people, and about the mission of those who since have followed him. If the world is to be refreshed and renewed, the author believes, it must be through the church, but for that to happen the church must become truly the people of God that God is still dreaming.
