Class and Gender in British Labour History

Examining the "making" of women within working class as workers, trade unionists, and political activists, this discussion features contributions from leading and up-and-coming women labor historians. Without presenting a chronological survey, this study revisits the terrain vacated by standard labor history and weaves together an intricate relationship between class and gender, particularly within the process of industrialization.
