Analiza la trayectoria poetica de Nicanor Parra, su antipoesia, artefactos y poemas-objeto. Estudia la trayectoria poetica de Ernesto Cardenal su exteriorismo, montaje conematographico y su ciencia poetica. A todo ello, suma una entrevista con Cardenal en Nicaragua. En la conclusion, compara y contrasta a ambos poetas, y presenta los movimientos y poetas hispanoamericanos posteriores a Parra y Cardenal, todo ello incluyendo un estudio de la poesia de minorias: chicana, nuyoricana, femenina, homoerotica, marginal y on-line.
