No. 5 in the Lovereading top 10 'Readers’ Choice' Books of the Year 2014.
This is the first in a new series by this terrific author. It mixes crime with romance and rattles along at a cracking pace. It is long and being a romance, there are some pretty explicit sex scenes which is now common in all sorts of books. If it’s the crime element you want then you can skip such scenes with no plot loss. The main characters are Faith, a therapist to victims of sex crimes who is fleeing for her life, and Deacon, the Cincinnati major crime enforcement agent, great characters who must presumably continue the series. The true identity of a serial killer is kept from the reader with possible new suspects introduced every now and again which certainly keeps you guessing. Great stuff.
