His character development is never rushed (the dual timeline slowing things down perfectly), but instead builds steadily – you’ll be 100% invested by the end, making it all the more heart-wrenching when events take unexpected turns. The Wish is a precious reminder about the fragility of life and the importance of following your heart. It’s a story about finding connections where you least expect it. And it’s an enchanting read for the holiday season. Just make sure the tissues are close to hand…
